I Am Not Boring

If you check out the About tab on this page you’ll find that I have a gift for procrastination.

Wait!

Before you click About and forget to come back and read this post, I’ll just fill you in:
My perspective is from one home of a two household family that consists of my daughters, Sophia (13) and Antonia (11), my significant other (my girls laugh at that label), and three Chihuahuas.  I am a stay-at-home mom with 13 year tenure, a B.A. in Early Childhood Education, and a gift for procrastination.
Notice I use the word “gift” in describing this disadvantageous character trait.

Why?

Because when I procrastinate, I’m all over the Web reading interesting stuff.  Then, I share it with you.  It’s good, you like it, and I am on a positive-thinking kick.  Also, procrastination brings me the gift of creating new connections via the blogosphere.  As you know, I’m over-the-moon grateful for the bonds made because of Sperk*.

Today, I simply ask you to please understand that due to my over-indulgence in writing postponement, I am working on my planned posts for Monday as you read this.  Ironic.  It’s the busiest Monday for Sperk* ever!  It very well could be the most fun, too.

I am Thrilled to be
Featured at The Parent Du Jour

The lovely Lisa Duggan (and she IS lovely, like, core lovely) spotted me after I retweeted her tweets and asked me to consider being a featured mom at The Parent Du Jour.  Of course I immediately said, “Yes!”  You’ll quickly figure out why I responded so swiftly when you check out The Parent Du Jour.  Once there, consider staying a while.  It is a wonderful resource for increasing your connections to other wonderful moms and dads.

It’s Monday Listicles Day!

The theme over at The Good Life (by photographer extraordinaire, Stasha) for this week’s Monday Listicles is An Hour in a Day.  I ask you to imagine what my hour is like right now, create my list for me, and insert it in the comments below.

No. No. I won’t do that.  I won’t impose my blogging responsibilities upon you.

Check back in a bit, I’ll have the list up.

It's Bloggers Dance Off Day!

My she-ro, Angela Shelton, and the extraordinarily funny and talented lady who introduced me to her, Kerry Rossow, are hosting a Bloggers Dance Off with their blogging buddies and they have invited the blogosphere to join them.  The link-up is open!  I haven’t been able to get Microsoft Windows Live Movie Maker to open on my Toshiba and may just submit an old video of me dancing.

Nah.  I’ll find a free, seven day download for some fancy video editing software and do it up right.

As of this moment, the link-up is open for 21 more days, 11 more hours, and 11 more minutes.  Hmmm.  Maybe I’ll procrastinate a bit more?

Nah.  But, the BloggersDance Off being open for 21 more days gives you an opportunity to join the fun, if you haven’t already.

Reminder, your assignment is to:

1) Check out The Parent DuJour

2) Imagine my activities during this current hour

3) Consider linking up with Monday Listicles

4) Dance! And link up with the Bloggers Dance Off

(I recommend you spend very little time on number two).
